Past weekend, we all have witnessed the ultimate glory of 90th Oscar awards in Kodak Theater, Los Angeles. Glamour, Spotlight, red carpet, biggest “hot shots“ of the industry- it all came together this Sunday.
Trought 90 years, academy winners had one minute to say their thanks a lot, but lately, more of them are showing their courage and focus to look upon the real problems of our society. It doesn’t take more than a simple article to cover the basics of PR, but the question remains, how to reach the wider audience with a key message?
-Some will say “with something that has wider broadcast“, but that usually covers the area of marketing and commercials, therefore- it costs a lot! Influencers on social media also cost and not that many of them have millions and millions of followers. Oscar awards are the perfect example of true PR. Millions and millions of viewers around the world in front of their TV watching and waiting to hear what the most influent people on the planet have to say.
Although one would think that their message is usually personal and that it does not apply to wider problems, that is Fake news! Every year something goes wrong in this world and people usually wait aside for it to passes along. That is false move and all of us need to contribute to changing this world into a better place. That kind of change is only possible by a true PR wizard, the one who can spread the word of righteousness. That is why I have decided to call Oscar a true PR wizard because when you put aside all the glamour, rest is simply raising awareness and focusing on bringing the message to the public.
