Festival of light Zagreb 2018

Festival of light in Zagreb started on March 15th and it will last till March 18th. The capital of Croatia is hosting for the second time the Festival of Lights Zagreb with a help of city of Zagreb, the event will be actualizing by company Lumigea and company ProLight which is installing lights all over the city. Festival of Lights International is partner of Festival of Lights Zagreb. Further, Zagreb is a member of the international FOL network and part of the International Festival of Lights family.

Festival of Lights Zagreb is second time festival of its kind in our city, and attractive audio-visual installations and projections is coming to life at 19 locations: Vranyczany Plateau, plateau Radec, Jesuit Square, Gallery Klovićevi dvori, Lotrščak Tower,tunnel Grič and Tomićeva Street. The theme of the festival is the spring that symbolizes the awakening, growth and renaissance, therefore each of the locations is trying to evoke the springtime through light performances that is held from 7 to 11pm, while tunnel Grič is opened from 6 pm.

With the four-day festival, Zagreb will join the other world cities that have a tradition of holding such festivals, like Lyon, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Prague, St. Petersburg or Berlin where the idea come and is implemented in Zagreb. The intention is that the Festival of Lights Zagreb becomes a perennial tourist product with the aim of generating greater tourist traffic at this time of year. And also to attract citizens of Zagreb and other parts of Croatia to visite such a festive. It is expected that the festival will be visited by 100 000 people.
