Art PR

The most common question in art PR is: „Why is it so hard for some artist to get recognised?“ Let’s just say that lots of artists got into thinking that if their art is good, someone will eventually notice it. Well, that is not the case in most of the times.

If you are a fine artist, you’ll have to do a lot of PR work to get noticed and to be on a market. Currently there are a lot of platforms and internet sites where you can publish your art. The main problem is that all of those sites are overcrowded mostly because some people just do it for fun. You have to stand out, to be the one people will follow and from whom they would want to purchase art. So, how do it?

Here are some tips how to build a bridge between your art and your audience!

  1. Be involved

Make sure you are involved in the art industry and in social media. It is recommended to follow and react to new trends, news, etc. Also, if you have some artist you look up to, reach them and ask for their advice. You’ll get some experience out of it and will definitely encourage you to go and chase your dreams.

  1. Get the attention

Create your own art campaign or at least be a part of one.  That can help generate interest in your projects and arts. By doing that the attention of the public will fall into your hands and after that you can easily start telling your story and what these art project mean to you.

  1. Tell your story

Storytelling is one very strong and important tool in public relations. If you have a great story behind your art and how you decided to be an artist you should definitely share that with the world. In fact people seem to remember stories better than just naked information. Tell a great empowering story and people will notice you.

Of course PR requires an investment of your time and money, but it is worth it if you really want to chase your career.

Good luck and get creative!
