What’s caused Gin-tonic to become an “on-trend” drink? Everybody is talking about gin. Gin has suddenly blown up, becoming a “trendy” drink with new bars dedicated entirely to the spirit opening up across the Europe.
The cocktail that inevitably refreshes in the summer months, its history is drawn back to the 19th century, and it was made by soldiers. Today it is one of the favorite drinks of all lovers of sweet bitter flavors.
Over the last few years, the trend of top-level gin-tonic in the world is growing, and we are happy to notice that the same trend has been reflected in Zagreb.
With the decline in popularity in the 70s of the last century, Gin and Tonic was considered to be the archaic remnant of past times, but in recent years, due to the popular TV series and movies, the drink has been restored to glamor. The basis is gin and tonic, then ice and lime slice, and for the best cocktail are essential first-class ingredients.
While in the past, soldiers in the European tropical colonies have added Gin to the tonic to successfully prevent malaria and find encouragement in times of war, today Gin is refined and we enjoy it from hedonistic excitement. Genuine germination options are many: from fresh berry citrus, herbs (mint, basil, rosemary, lemongrass …) to spices (pink pepper, coriander, anise, cinnamon) or bitterly obtained from various fruit fruits or vegetables.
Gin & Tonic is by far the most popular symbiosis. With its soft aroma and characteristic flavor, Gin is an inevitable companion on every occasion and represents the right refreshment for your palate!
