EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT EVENT MANAGEMENT

For better understanding what exactly event management is, first we must explain the difference between event management and event planning. These two professions are very similar but also very different. To sum it up very simply, event managers manage the event and event planners plan the event. But even though they are different in many aspects, they work very closely while organizing an event.

Here is a definition which sums exactly what event management is: “ Event management involves creating and developing large-scale events which may include conferences, conventions, concerts, trade shows, festivals, and ceremonies“.  Some Specific responsibilities of an event manager can also include: Selecting and reserving venues, arranging  transportation and parking, crisis and situation management at the event, designing a security plan

As an event manager, it is very important to have a specific set of skills, such as time management, good organization, creativity and flexibility and one of the most important communication skills.
