The World Cup will last from June 14 to July 15, 2018. For the first time in history, the World Cup will be held in Russia, at the same time in two parts of the world, in Europe and Asia in 11 different time zones . It will feature the strongest 32 teams from all over the world. The total will be played 64 games in 12 stadiums in 11 cities. The final will be played on July 15, 2018 in Lužnjik, Moscow.
The FIFA World Cup is unofficially the world’s largest sporting event. Always overwhelmed by interest in the most important side thing in the world – football. The interest of fans and visitors is equally great as the interest of numerous media houses, which want to accompany one of the biggest sports events this year. There are also big names of FIFA partners: Adidas, Coca – Cola, Visa, Quatar Airways and others. The events that unite millions of people from all continents have inevitably become the most popular competitions between the strongest national teams of the world.
In pauses between football matches, go visit some of these places.
The Red Square, or the Russians call it “Krasnaya Ploshchad”, is the main and largest city square in Moscow. Vasilija Blažen’s Cathedral is also worth visiting and admiring. Ostankino TV Tower is the right place for you if you want to look to Moscow.
Christ the Savior Cathedral, with a total height of 103 meters, is the highest Orthodox Church in the world.

If you want souvenirs that are of a Russian character, cheap and homemade, you must visit the Izmaylovo market. Moscow’s largest marketplace for handicrafts in Khokhloma, Matryosjki and Palekh style.
Shopping Centers „GUM“ and „TSUM“ are the most important shopping centers in Moscow, full of world brands, but also very expensive.
Russian vodka is a special national tradition, even national pride. The „kaša“ has always been a traditionally Russian dish.
The most famous soups are „boršč“ – soup with cake and meat with sour cream and „šči“ – cabbage soup. Russians prefer vegetables prepared in different ways, marinated mushrooms, fish, ham, eggs, pancakes.
In addition to enjoying the football magic of today’s top footballers, waving for your national team, you should spent time in Russia to tour the beautiful sights of this country, especially Moscow. Do not forget to try some of the traditional Russian meals along with a drop of vodka.
